Ultimate Zakopane: Breathtaking Tatras & Thermal Spa Oasis

We booked this Zakopane trip from Krakow and we absolutely enjoyed every moment of it. The trip was organized and well communicated all the way until we arrived back to Krakow. Our tour guide was Niko who is a lovely, funny, really friendly young man and a perfect communicator. We have bought some souvenirs in Zakopane, and left it under the table in a restaurant. We didn't have time to go and pick it up, but Niko offered that he will go back the next day and pick it up for us! What a Superstar!!! The next evening we had our Alpaca socks :)) I can only recommend this tour. Lots of interesting history and stories to listen to. We also tasted some local cheese that they grilled for us and served it with cranberry jam. Yummy! The thermal baths are a great last program where eveyone can find their own version of relaxation, from pool bar to quieter areas or saunas and steam rooms. Great communication from the company regarding pick up times and location. The mountain views of Zakopane are AMAZING! The cable car however to reach the top and back again is carnage. The thermal baths were lovely, if you are a couple or group without children then I would highly recommend going down to the bottom level where it's less crazy. A long day but worth the visit.

Wow what an unforgettable experience. Right from the start our guide michal was amazing. He updated us with texts the day b4 our trip and on the day. We knew exactly where to meet. On the coach he gave us a group whatapp chat so if there was any problems at any point we could all stay in touch. He was informative and made sure that we avoided all queues as being a Sunday it was the busiest day. He gave recommendations of where to eat etc during our free time.each stop was lovely but particularly enjoyed the funicular ride in zakopane. And as a bonus there was still snow around which made it even more special. The thermal baths were amazing but this is probably where michal went over and beyond. I slipped in the baths and couldn't get up, but thanks to whatsapp he was promptly on the scene translating for us. I had to have an ambulance due to severity of pain in my back and hand but he helped sort everything out. It also made him late for the rest of the tour as I had accident half hour before we were due to leave. When I got to hospital it was a nightmare but my son rang michal and he helped my son navigate all the technical stuff as I had lost my ehic card. Even when I eventually got out of hospital he kept in touch to see how I was. Michal was by far the best guide I have ever had on a trip and I have done many trips over the years. U can b assured if anything happens to you he is on hand to help plus he is funny and extremely knowledgeable. Thank you for a wonderful day even tho it did end in a disaster. Anyone not sure whether to book this trip, go for it you will have so much fun.

Excellent tour with a fun tour guide. Zakopane was fabulous but wished we hadn’t spend as much time on the top level and more in the village ! Spa was fabulous too!!

AMAZING. It was an absolutely great day and would do it 1000 times over. Every part of the day was memorable. Our tour guide Szczepan was very good as well. Great value for money.

We had such a lovely time on our day trip. A big thank you to the lovely tour leaders and transport crew Szczepan and Kamil! Very friendly and informative people. We were worried about being too worn out from such a long day trip (just under 12hrs in the end) however, the trip is planned out and paced very well. The stop at the old village and cheese and vodka tasting was quick but not rushed. Then you get to spend a good amount of time in the centre of zakopane. This stop is about 2 hours however it goes quick by the time you ride the funicular up and down take photos and explore the high street. Be sure to try out the toboggan ride when you get to the top of the funicular (tickets for this isn’t included but only about £3.20 per person). The final stop at the thermal baths was amazing. Super relaxing and beautiful views of the mountain with plenty of different pools to explore within the time you are there, with bars for drinks within the spa. The only thing I would recommend is maybe bringing a towel dressing gown or a spare warm towel with you into the actual pool area, some pools you have to walk outside between as they are quite spaced out which is very chilly in just a wet swim suit at 0°!! Got home at about 8pm which is great as you can either go back into the old town or get a nice early night after a long day. A big thank you again to the team at thousand miles Krakow! Would highly recommend !!

Really Great trip. The Guide Niko was really helpful and kept the whole day on track, but still remained laid back enough that everyone could enjoy themselves. Thermal baths are definitely a highlight. Really good layout, clean and fun

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our Zakopane Tour with Maciek Mike. Maciek was so entertaining, welcoming and knowledgeable your guide, we had many a laugh! The cheese and vodka tasting was delicious, Zakopane village and the funicular was very crowded on the day we went - don’t go on a Saturday! The views from the top though were absolutely breathtaking taking. To top it all off we had a really lovely, relaxing time in the therma pools. Again Maciek explained exactly what to do/where to go etc which was reassuring. We would definitely recommend this tour!

Amazing experience, well organised tour. Pleasant smooth journey, felt safe and very much included as a solo traveler. Tour guide (Stephen) knowledgeable and informative re history of Zakopane, also very helpful when my phone battery was low - would highly recommend this tour for female solo travelers!
